First time cooking a tomahawk steak and glad I tried your recipe. The taste was so amazing! I used olive oil instead of beef tallow since I didn’t have any at prep time. Next time, I’ll adjust the time and cook it a bit longer. This first time I erred on the side of caution as to preventing overcooking it by grilling it for 16 minutes and broiling it 3 minutes. The top layer was perfect, but then it mooed at me as I got to the middle. Plenty of top layer on such a big cut of meat to eat in one meal. Now, I can regrill the leftovers. Thank you!

I made this for my husband and he shared that this is by far the best Philly cheesesteak he has ever had. I am following a low carb diet so I had mine on low carb tortillas while my husband had his on a hoagie. The remainder was used for a salad the next day. Hands down amazing.

I think the oven is great. Id even bump up the temp to 400F in the over for less time (maybe 30 mins but you might need to watch it as I havent tested it). It will get the bacon even more crispy!
